Event Basics
What is Skill Rising? Skill Rising is a professional development day designed to help local professionals build practical, in-demand skills. Through hands-on sessions and expert-led workshops, attendees leave with tools they can put to work right away. It's presented by Your Instructional Designer.
When is it? Skill Rising takes place on October 9, 2026, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Where is it being held? The event will be held at the landmark Two River Theater, 21 Bridge Ave., Red Bank, NJ.
Who is Skill Rising for? Skill Rising is designed for ambitious women who are 2 -5 years into their career who are ready to break free from their career plateau. No particular background is required, just a willingness to learn.
Why should I attend? You'll spend the day learning practical skills, connecting with other local professionals, and walking away with tools and ideas you can use immediately. It's a focused, energizing day built around real-world application rather than theory.
Registration & Tickets
How do I register? You can register directly on our website at https://www.skillrising.com or https://skillrising.kit.com/products/skillrising-redbank. Simply choose your ticket, complete the registration form, and pay online to secure your spot.
How much does it cost? Tickets are $297. Save $50 when you purchase your ticket by Aug 3, 2026.
What's included with my ticket? Your ticket includes access to all sessions, workshop materials, refreshments, and lunch.
Do you offer group or team rates? Yes, groups of 5 or more receive a discount. Contact us at hello@skillrising.com to arrange group registration.
Is there a registration deadline? Registration is open until October 1, 2026 or until tickets sell out, whichever comes first. We recommend registering early, as space is limited.
Can I register at the door? This is an advance-registration event, and we are not able to accept walk-ins.
Logistics
What time should I arrive? Check-in opens at 8:30 am. We recommend arriving 15–30 minutes before the event to check in, get settled, and grab refreshments before the first session.
Is parking available? Parking is available at the theater for a fee. Public transit and rideshare are recommended; the nearest options are Red Bank train station.
Will food be provided? Yes, lunch and light refreshments are included with your registration. We will reach out after registration with more specific details. If you have dietary restrictions, please note them during registration, and we'll do our best to accommodate.
What should I bring? Bring a notebook and pen, your laptop or device if you'd like, and business cards for networking. Everything else you'll need for the sessions will be provided.
Is the venue accessible? Yes. The venue is wheelchair accessible. If you have specific accessibility needs, please let us know during registration or email us at hello@skillrising.com so we can make sure you're supported.
What should I wear? Dress is business casual. You'll be moving between sessions, so wear what helps you feel comfortable and ready to learn.
Content & Credit
What topics will be covered? Sessions will cover telling your story, selling the value, and managing up.
Who are the speakers? Skill Rising features expert facilitators and industry professionals leading each session. Speaker bios are available at https://www.skillrising.com.
Will I receive a certificate or professional development credit? Attendees can earn 6 professional development hours toward ATD recertification. We are happy to provide documentation of attendance on request.
Can I choose which sessions I attend? The day follows a single shared program with each workshop building on the skills from the previous session. We recommend you attend all sessions.
Refunds & Transfers
What is your refund policy? All ticket and registration purchases are final, and we are not able to offer refunds. This lets us plan the event and commit to the venue, speakers, and materials with confidence.
I can't attend anymore — can I transfer my ticket? Yes. Your registration is transferable. You can send your spot to someone else at no charge—just email us the name and email of the person attending in your place. Credit requests must be made at least 7 days before the event.
How do I request a transfer or credit? Email us at hello@skillrising.com before the event begins. Requests made after the event has started can't be honored.
What happens if the event is canceled or rescheduled? If we have to cancel Skill Rising entirely and can't reschedule, you'll be offered a full refund or a credit toward a future event. If the event is postponed, your ticket will be honored for the new date, or you may request a credit. Please note we aren't responsible for related costs like travel or lodging.
Event Basics
What information do you collect? When you register or buy a ticket, we collect details like your name, email, phone number, and organization. If you pay online, your payment is handled by a secure third-party processor — we don't store your full card number. We also collect basic website analytics and use cookies, and we collect your email if you opt into our mailing list.
How do you use my information? We use it to register you, process your payment, communicate about the event, and — if you've opted in — send you updates and newsletters. We don't sell your personal information.
Can I unsubscribe from emails? Yes. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime using the link in any message. We may still send you essential messages about your registration.

Your Instructional Designer ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Skill Rising event and website (the "Site"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. By using our Site or registering for the Skill Rising event, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
Registration information. When you register for the event or purchase a ticket, we collect information you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, organization or employer, job title, and any accessibility or dietary preferences you choose to share.
Payment information. When you pay for a ticket or registration online, your payment is processed by a third-party payment processor (for example, Stripe, Square, or PayPal). We do not collect or store your full credit or debit card number on our own servers. The payment processor collects and handles your card details under its own privacy and security policies, and provides us with confirmation of payment and limited transaction details.
Email and newsletter sign-ups. If you opt in to our mailing list, we collect your name and email address so we can send you updates about Skill Rising, future events, and related resources.
Analytics and cookies. Like most websites, our Site automatically collects certain technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. We use cookies and similar technologies, including analytics services such as Google Analytics and advertising or social-media pixels, to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how some parts of the Site function.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to register you for the event and process your payment; to communicate with you about your registration, including confirmations, receipts, updates, and logistics; to send you newsletters and marketing messages if you have opted in; to operate, maintain, and improve our Site and event; to respond to your questions and requests; and to comply with our legal obligations and enforce our policies.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the event and the Site, including with service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as payment processors, email and marketing platforms, event-registration and ticketing software, and analytics providers. Email Choices
You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any message or by contacting us at the address below. Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send you transactional messages related to your registration, such as confirmations and important event updates.
Data Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the event, maintain records, and comply with our legal, accounting, and reporting obligations. When we no longer need your information, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.
Data Security
