An organizational AI framework and AI guidelines were drafted and approved by leadership, which included the start of an AI steering committee.

Productivity Boost

Teams reported up to 100 hours per month / 4 - 5 days per month saved on completing common tasks and simplifying their design process by leveraging AI after our training.

Experimentation & Innovation

30 AI experiments were started and reported to the AI steering committee, leading to innovations in internal workflow and end user support

Improved AI Literacy

Users could match AI solutions with use cases with 75% accuracy; Users claiming "Intermediate Experience with AI" rose by 21%; No one claimed to be "New to AI"

Increased Confidence

96% of users felt confident identifying opportunities for AI automation and augmentation; 80% of users felt confident building a prototype of a simple AI agent

My Approach

Solution:

I wanted a comprehensive, multi-layered, hands-on approach to AI enablement that included support for task analysis, design thinking, and problem statement creation in addition to basic AI literacy and tutorials. This had to be more than what was available for free on the internet. It needed to be useful, practical, and immediately implementable.

I also wanted to get leadership aligned and felt the only way to do that was to facilitate difficult conversations in partnership with an AI expert.

 

I chose to bring in a consultant and build training we would license to the client rather than custom build, as they had no subject matter expert and no existing systems for distributing self-paced learning programs.

 

This meant building an end-to-end learning strategy, completing all phases of the instructional design process in-house, and considering project marketing.

​It also meant recruiting and managing strategic partners who would provide subject matter expertise, facilitation, and community moderation.​

​I strategized, drafted, designed, and delivered every element of the learning experience end-to-end.

 

Here's how I got it done:

​

  • Secured contract with nonprofit client

  • Conducted strategic needs analysis, including executive listening tour and user surveys

  • Architected solution, including AI consulting, training, and lab time

  • Leveraged LTEM method to set evaluation criteria for project success

  • Recruited, hired, and managed AI engineer and AI consultant as subject matter experts and facilitators

  • Selected technology for delivery and content development

  • Designed curriculum and community strategy

  • Created brand and brand assets, including logo and slide templates

  • Developed all content for online self-paced programming, videos, resource library, and live virtual instructor led sessions via Miro + Zoom

  • Designed and developed the platform landing pages

  • Leveraged AI tools to speed up production of learning assets (e.g., Synthesia for video)

  • Provided monthly performance reports and insights based on system analytics tools

  • Strategized and supported client's implementation and change management

  • Provided summative evaluation report, presentation, and consultation on next steps

Key Client Needs:

The client needed a solution that would enable them to identify their current misalignments, document new agreements and standards, develop skills, and support collaborative innovation.

 

They needed to be able to do the work in small pockets of time because their team was under resourced.

​

They needed to launch the program fast because some people were working without "guardrails" while others were refusing to use any AI tools.

​

They needed a subject matter expert. No one in house had an AI background.​
